Four faculty members from Wen Public Health were recognized at the 2025 Susan & Henry Samueli College of Health Sciences (COHS) Faculty Assembly Awards. These honorees were chosen across all four CoHS’ schools—the School of Medicine, Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing, the School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Joe C. Wen School of Population & Public Health—whose work exemplifies excellence, impact, and collaboration in health sciences.

Sora Park Tanjasiri, MPH, PhD, professor of health, society, and behavior, is honored for her impactful efforts in spotlighting cancer disparities across diverse communities.

Tetyana Vasylyeva, MSc, MPH, DPhil, assistant professor of population health and disease prevention, is honored for her research on HIV epidemics and the transmission dynamics affecting vulnerable populations.

Clinical COHS Team Research Award

Michael A. Hoyt, PhD, chair and professor of population health and disease prevention, is honored for his collaborative research efforts alongside Michelle A. Fortier, PhD, Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing, and Zeev N. Kain, MD, MBA, School of Medicine.
